Warsh changes words

In the version of Hafs it says:
وَكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِيٍّ قَاتَلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا ۗ وَاللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ

“How many prophets were there with whom great multitudes fought (Qatala), but they neither despaired nor weakened nor humbled themselves because of what afflicted them in the way of God, and God loves the patient.”

In the version of Warsh it says:

وََكَأَيِّن مِّن نَّبِىءٍ قُتِلَ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَثِيرٌ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَا أَصَابَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّـهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا ۗ وَاللَّـهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِرِينَ

“How many prophets were there with whom numerous multitudes were killed (Qutila), but they neither despaired nor weakened nor humbled themselves because of what afflicted them in the way of God, and God loves the patient.”

Comment:

According to Warsh, no Gabriel (a.) ever descended from heaven reciting the word “qatala” (قاتل). The followers of Umar, however, excuse this as “reading” (قراءة) and praise Warsh in the highest tones.
