The Hafs version says:

بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿١﴾ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿٢﴾ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴿٣﴾ مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴿٤﴾ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿٥﴾ اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٦﴾ صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا الضَّالِّينَ ﴿٧﴾ ـ

“(1) In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, (2) Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, (3) Most Gracious, Most Merciful, (4) the Ruler on the Day of Judgment, (5) We serve You and seek Your help, (6) guide us on the straight path, (7) the path of those on whom You have shown mercy, not of those in wrath and not of those who go astray.

In the version of Warsh it says:

بِسْمِ اِللَّـهِ اِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ اِلرَّحِيمِ اِلْحَمْدُ لِلَّـهِ رَبِّ اَلْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١﴾ اَلرَّحْمَـٰنِ اِلرَّحِيمِ ﴿٢﴾ مَلِكِ يَوْمِ اِلدِّينِ ﴿٣﴾ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿٤﴾ اهْدِنَا اَلصِّرَاطَ اَلْمُسْتَفِيمَ ﴿٥﴾ صِرَاطَ اَلذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ ﴿٦﴾ غَيْرِ اِلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا اَلضَّالِّينَ ﴿٧﴾ ـ

Comment:

Warsh denies the first verse and declares the one numbered by Hafs as the second verse, which verse did God reveal first?

While Hafs lists the word “Mālik” (ruler), Warsh lists the word “Malik” (king), which word did God reveal?

While the sentence “the way of those to whom You have shown mercy” in Warsh is a separate verse, in Hafs it is part of the seventh verse, which verse did God reveal as the seventh?

The followers of Umar excuse this difference as a “way of reading” (قراءة) and praise Warsh in the highest tones
