Abu Ja’far At-Tusi writes:“Sahl Ibn Ziyad Al-Adami Ar-Razi with the epithet Abu Sa’id is weak (Da’if) and has a book that Ibn Abi Junaid narrated to us from Muhammad Ibn Al-Hasan, who narrated it from Muhammad Ibn Yahya, who narrated it from Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Yahya and Muhammad Ibn Al-Hasan Ibn Al-Walid and Al-Himyari narrated it from Ahmad Ibn Abi Abdillah.” [Al-Fihrist, page 80]

Comment:
There is no contradiction in the fact that At-Tusi calls him “weak” (Da’if) and “trustworthy” (Thiqah), because he also says “weak” when a narrator gives different answers to the same issue, while still sticking to its tradition and making judgments from it [Here]

Abu Al-Husain Al-Ghada’iri writes: “Sahl Ibn Ziyad with the epithet Abu Sa’id Al-Adami Ar-Razi was very weak (Da’if) and corrupt (Fasid) in tradition and religion.

Abu Al-Qasim Al-Khu’i writes: “As a result, the book (Ar-Rijal) attributed to Ibn Al-Ghada’iri has been found to be unauthentic. Rather, some of them are certain that it is a lie (Mawdu’) and that our opponents fabricated it and attributed it to Ibn Al-Ghada’iri.” [Mu’jam Rijal Al-Hadith, Volume 1 Page 96]
