Chapter:

Desirability of the call to prayer for the general public, prayer with them, visiting their sick, attending their burials by way of caution (Taqiyyah), prayer in their mosques, and what makes his choice of excellence of mosque and congregation desirable
1/11092 – Muhammad Ibn Ali Ibn Husain reported with his chain to Zaid Ash-Shahham, who reported from Abu Abdillah (As-Sadiq) that he said: “O Zaid, treat people according to their character. Pray in their mosques, visit their sick people, attend their funerals, and if you were able to be leaders and callers of prayer, do so, for if you did, they would say: “These are the people of Ja’far. God have mercy on Ja’far. How well he raised his companions.” But if you did not, they would say: “These are the people of Ja’far. May God take action against Ja’far. How badly he raised his companions.”
2/11093 – Muhammad Ibn Idris reported at the end of As-Sara’ir traditional from the book Al-Mashaikhah of Hasan Ibn Mahbub, who reported of Muhammad Ibn Sinan, who reported of Jabir Ibn Yazid Al-Ju’fi, that he said: “I asked him: “I have neighbours. Some of them have knowledge of this matter and some of them have no knowledge. They have asked me to call for prayer for them and to pray with them. And i was afraid that i would not be free to do so.” “Call to prayer for them, pray with them and ask for times.” I (Hurr al Amili) say: “It was preceded by that which indicates that the prayer should be repeated and other things, and it will be followed by that which indicates that it is for the handling, and it was preceded by that which indicates the recent judgment for the mosques.” [Wasa’il-ush-Shi’ah, volume 8, pages 430 – 431]
