A prayer leader with a disability?

Are there traditions of prayer leaders with disabilities?

Answer:

Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Imam Ali (a.) said: “Neither does the chained one lead the freed as a leader of the prayer, nor does the one with hemiplegia lead the healthy one as the leader of the prayer. Neither does the one who attained ritual purity through earth lead as a prayer leader for those who attained ritual purity through water, nor does the blind man in the desert serve as a prayer leader unless he turns his face in the direction of prayer.” [Al-Kafi of Al-Kulaini, volume 3 page 213 Hadith 2]

علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن النوفلي، عن السكوني، عن أبي عبدالله عليه السلام قال: قال أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه: لا يؤم المقيد المطلقين ولا يؤم صاحب الفالج الاصحاء ولا صاحب التيمم المتوضين ولا يؤم الاعمى في الصحراء إلا أن يوجه إلى القبلة

Ja’far As-Sadiq (a.) reported that Imam Al-Baqir (a.) said: “Neither does the one who attained ritual purity through earth lead those who attained ritual purity through water as a prayer leader, nor does the one who is paralyzed on one side lead the healthy as a prayer leader.” [Al-Istibsar by At-Tusi, Volume 1 Page 636 Hadith 2]

محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى عن بنان بن محمد عن أبيه عن ابن المغيرة عن السكوني عن جعفر عن أبيه عليهما السلام قال: لا يؤم صاحب التيمم المتوضئين ولا يؤم صاحب الفالج الاصحاء

Muhammad Ibn Ali reported that Imam As-Sadiq (a.) said: “Neither does the one who is chained lead the freed as a prayer leader, nor does the one who has hemiplegia lead the healthy as a prayer leader.” [Man La Yahduruh-ul-Faqih of As-Saduq, Volume 1, page 264 Hadith 1107]

عن محمد بن علي بن بابويه عن جعفر بن محمد الصادق عليه السلام أنه قال: لا يؤم صاحب القيد المطلقين ولا يؤم صاحب الفالج الأصحاء
