Hypocrite thankful for prayer

Question:

Is the hypocrite grateful not to belong to those who do not pray?

Answer:

As-Sabzwari reported that the prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “The dog says: Praise be to God who created me as a dog and not as a pig. The pig says: Praise be to God who created me as a pig and not as an unbeliever. The Unbeliever says: Praise be to God Who created me as an Unbeliever and not as a hypocrite. The hypocrite says: Praise be to God who created me as a hypocrite and not as someone who neglects prayer.”[Ma’arij-ul-Yaqin, page 187]

عن السبزواري عن النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال: يقول الكلب الحمد لله الذي خلقني كلبا ولم يخلقني خنزيرا ويقول الخنزير الحمد لله الذي خلقني خنزيرا ولم يخلقني كافرا ويقول الكافر الحمد لله الذي خلقني كافرا ولم يجعلني منافقا والمنافق يقول الحمد لله الذي خلقني منافقا ولم يخلقني تارك الصلاة
