Punishment for spying

Question:

What kind of punishment do secret observers of other peoples private domains receive?

Answer:

Abdullah Ibn Abbas reported that the Prophet Muhammad (s.) said: “In the case of one who looks into his neighbours’ house so that he sees the nakedness of a man to or the hair of a woman or something of her body that needs to be covered, God has the right to let him enter into the fire of hell with the hypocrites who desire the nakedness of men in this world and he does not leave this world until God uncovers him and in the next world God uncovers his nakedness.”[Thawab-ul-A’mal from As-Saduq, Volume 1 Page 282]

عن محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل عن محمد بن جعفر عن موسى بن عمران عن الحسين بن زيد عن حماد بن عمرو الصينى عن أبي الحسن الخراساني عن ميسرة بن عبد الله عن أبي عبد الله عن أبي عايشة السعدي عن يزيد بن عمر بن عبد العزيز عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن عن عبد الله بن عباس عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله قال: من اطلع في بيت جاره فنظر إلى عورة رجل أو شعر امرأة أو شئ من جسدها كان حقا على الله أن يدخله النار مع المنافقين الذين كانوا يبتغون عورات الناس في الدنيا ولا يخرج من الدنيا حتى يفضحه الله ويبدي للناس عورته في الآخرة
